our history
Churrascada was born in 2015 from our passion for barbecue, music, and good company. What began as a joke among friends, celebrating gastronomy in its most primitive form—the union of food around a fire—has transformed into one of the most important food and entertainment festivals in the world.
We still find it surreal that Churrascada has become this monster… but we're also proud of it all.
Our annual edition in São Paulo takes place (almost always) in August and brings together around 40 renowned chefs from Brazil and abroad—masters of meat and fire, presenting their creations to thousands of guests. All accompanied by ice-cold beer, plenty of music, and special attractions.
The event is curated by chef and restaurateur Gustavo Bottino, responsible for introducing the American Barbecue technique to Brazil. Production is by Blast Entertainment, a DC Set Group company specializing in live experiences and large events.
Churrascada, which began as an event, has evolved into a true ecosystem: today, we boast operations such as the Fazenda Churrascada and Churrascada do Mar restaurants, the Carreta Churrascada, the Churrascada Box, a digital media presence, official merchandising, and much more.
We are the ideal platform for brands looking to connect with an audience passionate about fire, meat, and celebration.

A unique experience
Curatorship is conceptualized months ahead of the festival to bring you a gastronomic experience that is diverse, unique and original. We take into consideration animls, cuts, cooking methods and recipes from Brazil and the world.
Professional Chefs
Only experienced, professional Chefs or those who are recognized authors of a new culinary propositon with an important relationshp with fire and meat in their line of work.
Creativity
We like culinary inovation and we are always testing and risking some crazy stuff searching for new and original flavours. Chefs are allowed to take risks and make mistakes, afterll there are some fast food chains for the safe and tested. We are on the oppposite side of it.
Churrascada Spirit
Chefs bring in a real barbecue spirit as a central ingredient of our party. Chefs don't have to be friends of the organizers to join our lineup but they do have to be of that kind we would like to be friends with. Arses not welcome.
